Portuguese Bull Fight

My love, some friends and I went to a friends house for his annual Portuguese bullfight that was thrown annual. It was also a way to get the family together once a year as well. As we arrived, it was beautiful decorated with hay, vine leaves, and grapes. Kids were running around in cowboy/cowgirl gear and adults standing and/or sitting in a circle drinking wine or beer and talking in their native language as if it had only been yesterday that they've haven't seen each other.

The Ring
Food was served; roasted lamb, corn, watermelon just to name a few. As soon as the fight started everyone dropped what they were doing and surrounded the ring to see the brave men. Family members went around serving peanuts in little cute popcorn bags and traditional Portuguese candy wrapped as if it's a cigar.

About to charge
If you do not know anything about the Portuguese bullfight here is a little history: Traditional Portuguese bullfighting contains a man, a horse and the bull. The goal for the man and the horse is to "draw the bull into a charge, but not to kill" (source). For more information of Portuguese bullfight click here.

Roadtrip Playlist

I'm in San Francisco yet again visiting some friends and family members with my love. Since I haven't been to southern California my love and I decided to take a little road trip down to LA. It was perfect timing as some of my family friends were down there. Unfortunatly, when it comes to planning and preparing, we're not the best. We're both last minute planners at everything, even booking the hotels we will be staying at.

It was a long drive down to LA, so I put together a playlist for our journey, because knowing us both, we will run out of conversation, get bored easily and road trip games are just not my thing. At first it was hard putting this playlist together since our taste in music is completely different.

3. Girls Aloud - Jump

British Invasion Playlist

It's another monthly playlist post! And this time I've been listening to a lot British artists. I'm not going to lie, the Brits have amazing artists/bands and I do really wish that the West (America) has the same type of talent as they do.

Who are your favourite British artist(s)/band?
